Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join Manchester United on a free transfer after leaving Brentford as Erik ten Hag's squad is bolstered before the 2022/23 Premier League season.

The 30-year-old has communicated to United that he wants to play for them in the upcoming campaign and subsequently accepted their proposal over a three-year deal.

Contracts are thought to be in the draft stages before a transfer can be confirmed, with medical tests set to be completed in the coming days.

Rigorous tests will go ahead due to Eriksen's medical history - having suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark's clash against Finland during Euro 2020.
